Notes: Road: Data include activity of Canadian domiciled for-hire carriers with annual operating revenues of 1 million Canadian dollars or more. Prior to 2004, data include domiciled for-hire carriers for which most of their earnings are derived from long-distance (80 kms or more) shipments. Data excludes local (less than 25 kilometers) deliveries, and deliveries made by private trucks and small for-hire carriers. Since 2004, data include the local trucking sector and all shipments made by the companies on the survey frame are in-scope. Pipeline: Data are for both oil pipelines and natural gas.
