.. not available for a specific reference period ... not applicable Notes: The percentage of the labor force and employed labor force for the period 2005-2015 was calculated taking into account the estimate of the total population adjusted for the non-response rate as reported by the labor force survey. This population estimate was based on official population projections released by the National population Council (CONAPO) on April 16, 2013, which were made from demographic reconciliation of the Population and Housing Census 2010. Data for the period 1995-2004 are referenced population projections performed by CONAPO from the demographic reconciliation of the Population and Housing Census 2005. The final figures of the household surveys are in line with population projections, not only for the purpose of having a reference population in intercensal periods, but also to eliminate the fluctuations in the estimates that are inherent in the forms of probability sampling with these surveys, to facilitate comparisons over time. Projections are updated every time there are new data on population.In this context, the 13th Population and Housing Census of 2010 provides information on the magnitude and distribution of population in Mexico. This required a demographic reconciliation that is the basis of new population projections that will be used for expansion of the data from the surveys. Sources: National and urban population: Midyear national population by sex and age groups are based on the estimated population figures for period 1990-2010 from CONAPO as well as population projections from the same institution for period 2010-2030.
